Twitter, Jaiku feeling the pain

2.0 wunderkind Twitter (Rails) has stopped dropping connections, but has taken to dropping messages, which appear and disappear or  flip their order randomly.  So it's off to an alternative!  Enter Jaiku.  The transition flood has begun.

But can Jaiku (PHP) take the heat?

These skr1ptarz keep scoffing at big-iron scalability, preferring instead the speed at which they can stand up the first iteration.
